Tan lines aren’t the end of the world for your session. We all want to enjoy the warm sun throughout the year and tan lines happen. But at the same time they aren’t the prettiest for your photos during your boudoir session or big events in your life. So, when you’re thinking, “oh no! I have tan lines!” don’t worry.. we got some simple tips to help cover those up or tone them down. Our amazing hair and makeup artist Jessi Boike (https://www.facebook.com/mkjessiwendland) has taken the time to offer some help and tips on what you can do and what you should avoid.
Don’t panic! Tan lines are natural and so is your beauty. However, of course if you can help it, avoid tan lines or most certainly avoid sunburn right before your session! IF you do get tan lines and have enough time prior to your session, spend some time getting a spray tan to help cover that up. Or spend some time with a strapless top on outside for a few minutes a day to get a healthy cover up for those lines.
A tanning bed isn’t very healthy so we don’t really recommend it. Your natural skin tone and complexion is exactly who you are!
Spray tanning can be simple and it can be messy if you’re a rookie. If you spray tan, please don’t use the product on your face. Our foundation won’t stick.
If you use a sunless tanning lotion at home, dilute it when you get to elbows, knees, ankles, and knuckles. We don’t want you to be spotty or orange so we recommend blending it with a regular lotion or oil at the same time!
Any of these tips for tan lines before your boudoir session can be used if you get these before any big event in your life.
