Ms. D’s outdoor vintage themed portrait session is a very unique one that gave us a fun session but also helped to give Ms. D the opportunity to do a session that matched her personality and style. Read on to hear her own words about how the session went and what she gained from it.

Tell us your story, a little bit about you and why you decided to do a boudoir session? Is your story what made you decide to do this for yourself?

I wanted a bit of a self esteem boost, I’ve been self conscious of my stomach since having my daughter years ago. I also wanted a fun birthday present for my boyfriend as well. This photoshoot helped with both things I wanted. It was a great experience, Jessi made me look fantastic, especially since I rarely do much for makeup. Doing the photos themselves was fun and Melissa helped with the posing and made me laugh which definitely makes me feel more at ease and feel comfortable with the experience. I’d definitely recommend to others looking to have a great time getting wonderful photos!

What was your biggest concern prior to booking your Boudoir Session? How do you feel now?

I was nervous and a bit self conscious. I’m comfortable, and not as worried about certain areas of my body.

What, specifically, did you enjoy most about your portrait session and why?

Going outside and taking photos with the car.

Were you comfortable during your session? How did I make you feel? Did my posing instruction help you feel more confident?

After the first few photos I got comfortable. You helped me relax a bit and the posing definitely helped with you giving directions/modeling the poses.

What did this shoot do for your self confidence, self worth, and self image? Did you discover anything about yourself that you didn’t know was there or that you forgot was there? How has your boudoir experience affected you or changed you? Tell me your story.

It helped my self confidence, I was quite down on myself with how my stomache looks and I think this helped me in realizing there’s nothing wrong with how I look.

Was your experience what you were expecting? If not, how was it different?

Yes, but it was more of a fun and relaxed atmosphere than I was expecting.

After this amazing experience for yourself, what does boudoir mean to YOU?

Finding your inner beauty and embracing yourself and your body as you are.

What did you learn about yourself? OR how did this experience/session change you?

I learned to be more flirty (with posing), and have fun while not trying to hide any area of myself from the camera.

What advice would you give someone who is nervous about or hesitant to book their own boudoir experience with me?

Just be yourself and remember to breathe. Melissa know what poses help make the pictures look great. So just relax and enjoy!
