Self-esteem is how you feel about yourself, or the opinion you have about yourself. Everyone struggles with self esteem and confidence and that’s ok. But when you’re struggling here a quick tip to help you through that and boost your confidence back up.
The first step is to identify, and then challenge, your negative beliefs about yourself. Notice the thoughts you have about yourself. To show you, you might catch yourself thinking ‘I’m not good enough to do that’ or ‘I have no friends’ or ‘I’m not pretty enough’. When you do think those thoughts, dig deep and look for evidence that contradicts those thoughts that you’re having about yourself.
Write down both the statement and the evidence. Keep looking back at it to remind yourself that your negative beliefs about yourself are not true.
