Couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day for Tiffany and Ricky’s wedding

Couple posing together

When it comes to July, having a wedding is intimidating because the weather can usually end up being so hot. However we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day for Tiffany and Ricky’s wedding on Saturday.  As the temps on Friday reached a feels like index of 105 degrees, the possibility of excessive heat was a high threat. Then as everyone got up on Saturday morning it looked like the threat of rain and big storms all day were going to dampen the plans for the day. We talked about how we probably wouldn’t be able to go to the park for photos however when 2 o’clock rolled around, it was calm and beautiful outside and we decided it would be perfect to do photos in the little courtyard just out front of the Mankato Civic Center.

First Site

Watching Tiffany and Ricky get to see each other for the first time touched my heart, as Tiffany was already tearing up and bringing the waterworks before she made it down the stairs to Ricky. Above all it was a moment that Tiffany and Ricky would remember as such a touching beginning to their day. Even though Ricky found it silly that she was crying already once he turned around and saw her for the first time, that brought a huge smile to Tiffany’s face as Ricky was just being himself. This made for a lighthearted feel between the two of them as they saw each other for the first time and had those first moments of realization that this was the day they had waited for.

Portraits

The moments spent outside taking couples portraits was so much fun as Tiffany and I taught Ricky that his job was to pick up her train every time we moved to a new location. Tiffany and Ricky opened up and enjoyed themselves and let their true colors shine, all while their love for one another, which was the sweetest thing to see, shown even brighter. Similarly their families showed how much they loved them by being there in anyway they could for the two of them.

Ceremony

Tiffany was picture perfect beauty as she walked down the aisle with her father to her future husband. Ricky, like many grooms, you could tell was emotional by seeing his bride walk down the aisle but no tears fell. The only thing you could see was his eyes lighting up as she walked closer to him. Above all the traditions that took place at the ceremony made for a meaningful ceremony that all about Tiffany and Ricky’s love.

Reception

After that the night ended inside the Mankato Civic Center with so many kind words and encouragement during speeches and a special performance by their bridal party members for their first dance. Similarly the weather at the end of the night was just gorgeous. With the sun making an appearance that gave us the opportunity to capitalize on golden hour with a few moments away to reflect on their day. In addition all the details and planning fell together beautifully and Tiffany and Ricky couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful and successful day. In other words, we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day for Tiffany and Ricky’s wedding since everything fell into place beautifully.
